Easy charm evident in 'Girls Trip' to The Big Easy”

LA premiere of "Girls Trip" at the Regal LA Live Stadium 14 in Los Angeles, California.

FOX 4's Shawn Edwards sat down with stars Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith to find out how they were able to successfully shoot the film in New Orleans during Essence Festival.

"We really wanted to show that there's a lot of love and support and connection between us", Hall said of her castmates and the film. "We're always striving to be what people perceive us to be".

Get ready for the trip of a lifetime, where nothing is off limits.

A great deal of credit goes to the writers, led by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, for creating the space for Haddish and the rest of the cast to get weird.

The action, as I sorely neglected to mention, is set in New Orleans during the Essence Music Festival, so the filmmakers can add to the eye candy of the foxy ladies with other celebrities, running the gamut from Common to Mariah Carey, Gabrielle Union, Ne-Yo, and many many others. According to Haddish, Will was excited and said, "Whoa, it's been years since I've been in a regular auto".

But it's more than just your average chick flick.

JADA PINKETT SMITH: Had no idea what a Groupon was.

"Girls Trip" definitely earns its R rating.

The couple met in 1994 when Pinkett Smith, 45, auditioned for a role in Smith's hit sitcom The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

Queen Latifah (as Cleopatra "Cleo" Sutton): "Ahhhhh, whoooo!" But after some rough patches and a divergent set of career paths, the quartet hasn't spent proper time together in five years.

"There was a point in which we met and then we kind of were going our separate ways. That's a attractive journey right there".

Funnily enough, "Girls Trip" does turn out to be a movie about forgiveness, but it isn't the women's debauched antics that cry out for redemption.

"I won't get into the details of it 'cause I'm going to write a book about it ... but just to give you ... like that's how we started", she continued. Do yourself a favor and check out her swamp tour story below. By the time the inevitable dance-off scene comes around in the film's second half, you're laughing not because the choreography is silly, but because everyone is so goddamn committed, and Hall is rocking a purple wig like she was born in one.

Will Smith (rapping "Welcome to Miami"): "Miami, South Beach bringin' the heat".

But first, they have to get Lisa out of her mom clothes and into something that barely covers her naughty bits. These calls have grown louder in recent years, especially in light of the little black representation at the Oscars and the award show's long history of handing out numerous few awards African American actors have received to those who have played stereotypical roles such as nannies, slaves or criminals. "I'm high as a kite, right?"

For all its horndog playfulness, "Girls Trip" never strays far from female solidarity.
