Despite great game output, many fans still note that the hardware is lacking triple-A, first-party titles.

Sony, too, has a console with 4K capabilities - the PS4 Pro - which it released in November a year ago. Formerly codenamed "Project Scorpio", the console's true name is the Xbox One X. It turns out that this isn't a case since the company won't be making any profit from the console at all.

He also discussed learning about mistakes from previous E3 showcases - and not just for Microsoft. There are even small visual touches that add to a game's immersion, including shaking windscreen wipers on cars in Forza Motorsport 7. Mike Ybarra also said that the console was equivalent to a $1500 gaming machine. It's packed with impressive technical specs: triple the memory of the Xbox One S console Microsoft released past year, graphics that top the PlayStation Pro, a terabyte of storage.

The boss of Xbox is so confident about the firm's games line up he's crowed "we don't need Halo or Gears of War to sell consoles".

While Microsoft appear obsessed with the notion of native 4K gaming on console, others are seeing some more intriguing uses for the new power.

Microsoft is touting a launch lineup with breadth - it showed off 42 games at the Xbox One X's launch news conference, 22 of which are exclusive to Microsoft at launch.

This is great news for Microsoft and great news for developers interested in coding for the platform. "We'll have more to share about this program when it launches later, this year". Sounds pretty bland but since it is being developed by Insomniac Games, high hopes can be held for this one.

The confirmation has left the potential Xbox One X buyers disappointed and now, it has turned into rage. So, what's that move?

Nevertheless, Head of Global Sales and Marketing at Sony, Jim Ryan, stated that the power advantage of the new Xbox One X console over the Playstation 4 Pro won't be that evident when it rolls out. However, when it comes to processing the graphics, the PS4 Pro lags behind. No other titles have been announced at this time.
