Developers Will Have Access To NFC On iPhone In iOS 11”

It being a major new product release from Apple, I'm naturally intrigued to try it out. However, the company also spent a portion of the conference on the latest version of its iPad Pro. However, it not only shows you files stored on the device but also files on iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and any other connected cloud storage. Again, this is a device-specific feature that really shines on the iPad. This time, though, Apple's figure was more or less right-on.

Switching between them will also be easier than ever, as you can swipe upward to open and close the different applications.

Multitasking is going to be even more efficient with the new Apple OS. It's also not that comfortable to type on because the keyboard is so narrow from top to bottom, doesn't sit well in your lap, and limits you to one viewing angle. Or just order Siri to do it.

These are all small things - if you didn't know that the iPad Pro had a more responsive screen, you may not pick up on it yourself.

After the tech has been used once, your iPhone will prompt you to launch it whenever it thinks you're driving - you'll be able to dismiss the notice if you're a passenger or on a train or bus.

- The lock screen and notifications center are now one. The Notes app now comes equipped with a new Document Scanner so you can fill in the blanks or sign a document with Apple Pencil.

- To double down on that iPad thing, the iOS 11 blessings effectively transform Apple's tablet into a mini-Mac.

Apple has also not added wireless charging to the iPad Pro, despite rumours that is coming to the new iPhone due later this year. Makes sense, right? And is it an aim to Microsoft's Surface?

If Apple is indeed saving drag and drop support for the iPhone 8, we'll have to wait until September to see it.

As with the previous Pro models, the 10.5-inch variant has punchy, four-speaker audio, which adjusts mid and high frequencies depending on how you're holding the device.

Last week Apple announced iOS 11 for its iOS device lineup. Apps that haven't made the transition to a 64-bit architecture will no longer run under iOS 11. The network signal dots have been replaced with bars, battery status bar icon is changed, new icons for App store, calculator and iTunes store have been added and fonts are bolder. This means you can easily drag images, links etc. between running apps and you can even drag and drop multiple items together.

As computers become thinner and lighter, and tablets grow larger and more powerful, the line of whether you need one or the other is continuing to blur. This should do the job of installing the iOS 11 developer version. Certainly, there's all manner of commands you can ask Siri to perform with Apple Music, but third-party music services like Spotify are locked out for the time being, just as Siri treats them on iOS. Make sure you're camera-ready. Beware, though: it's still in its early stage, so if anything happens that'll mess up your device, well, you've been warned. Apple should be releasing the iOS 11 public beta near the end of June. But seriously, just wait when fall comes in the U.S., when it's expected that the full version of iOS 11 will be available.

So if you've got a hankering to watch your exe's Instagram stories, this is all good news.

iOS 11 comes with a deeper integration with Apple Pencil with Instant Markup and inline drawing.
